Hey Family,
So I was in a real funk yesterday. I found out that my job won a contract we bidded on. So happy great news right. Well then I find out that we got it but they cut our salaries back by 10-15%!!! I won't know the definite number until I sit down with HR next week. On the one hand I am definitely grateful to still have a job because a lot of other people don't have that but at the same time I just hate that I have to take such a drastic pay cut.
Anyways I'll tell you it has pushed me to really move forward with my plans of opening up my own wellness center. This is a dream of mine and at this point I realize that I have to do this for myself. I just need to figure out how to make it happen. If anyone knows how to get a small business started please comment and let me know.
On the fitness note, I have been doing my workouts. I even took a pole dancing class the other day and my body is still sore. I am still struggling with the nutrition but I am getting better. It's not going to happen over night but it will happen. I am going to have that under control soon.
I will be tracking my fitness journey over the next year. Follow my blog and watch me transform. Join me if you are ready to take control of your life as well.

My day
So today I started off late. I woke up at noon and just didn't feel like doing much of anything. So I laid around for a while and then I decided that I would clean my kitchen and get to working out. My son and I were invited to a birthday party a Chucke Cheeses so I knew I wanted to work out before going. I was holding back a little because I knew I was going to be doing Chalean Extreme Burn Circuit 3 and I have really been struggling with the strength training. It is definitely not a strong area for me but I know muscle burns fat and I have to do it. I love cardio because it's fun but you really need to focus with strength.
So I got through Burn Circuit 3 and I went on to do Fire 30. Man, I was really sore going into Fire 30 because Burn kicked my ass. I got through it though. When I felt like stopping I would say "you are not tired" and I kept going.
I went to Chuck E Cheese and man as soon as I walked in I spotted the pizza. Mind you I was hungry already. I did good though I looked up the points and after determining it was 4 points I had one slice without feeling any guilt. It was a little hard not to grab for another one but I knew I had to do it. I am so proud of myself because I could have easily eaten a whole pie to myself but instead I negotiated and decided one was enough and moved on.
I feel so good today, I have been having people reaching out to me from my youtube channel saying I inspire them and man that is big for me. This is why I am doing this. I want to help as many people as possible while I make my goal. Just as I inspire them they inspire me to keep going.

Weight Watchers, Turbo Kick
So today I did well for breakfast, I had a Chocolate Shakeology w/ Almond milk on way to an appointment. I freaking love Shakeology I swear by that stuff. It makes breakfast so much easier for me. I just throw it in the blender and I keep it moving.
Then for lunch I fell off a little. I had some Rotisserie chicken which wasn't so bad but I just really ate the skin off the chicken : ( Not a good look but then I has some a fish sandwich and a cup of macaroni and cheese. I used the Generic points of WW's since I didn't know and was left with like 7 points for the day. So I was omg dinner will be a salad LOL. I took a long nap probably because I was dehydrated.
I woke up and drank like five cups of water and then took some E&E formula so I could be ready for Turbo Kick class. Tonight I did it with a new instructor so I did not know what to expect but I absolutely enjoyed it. There were only three others in the class but it made it better we really pushed one another to go to another level. I also met a pole dancing instructor and your girl is going to try it out next week. I am supppppeeerrr excited ; )
Time for some homework

Ups and Downs
So I have been working on homework all day which made me get in a funk. I didn't feel like exercising but I kept telling myself that I had to get up and do something. Then it happened, someone made a negative comment to me which sparked me to get up off my ass and make my dreams a realization. I mean it's all about hardwork and dedication ( Thanks Dolvette) so I it's later for living off of motivation and it's time to live a purpose filled life. Motivation comes and goes but when you know your purpose you'll get up each and every day and make it one day closer to your goal.
I am a new Beachbody coach and of course I have the zeal right now and I want to be successful and hav a successful team and I get dissapointed at times because I think it won't happen for me. Well I listened to A Slight Edge by Joel Olsen and he said you can't expect to make changes overnight. Basically you have to put in the work. You have to know what you're doing, master it, live it, practice it, and then and only then can you give back to others. It takes time ...... not many overnight successes have longevity in the business. The people who are on their grind day in and day out are the ones who stick around.
I went to the gym because I needed to get out of the house. I spent an hour on the elliptical and then I came home and completed Burn Circuit 2. Man, weight lifting is definitely my weak area but every time I push play I am going to get better.

DAY 10
Hello everyone, so I have been following the hybrid schedule however, I have come down with a cold so last night I completed Fire 45EZ but did not have enough energy to go on to Extreme Abs. Today I have Burn Circuit 2 only so I am hoping I will be up to adding that in today.
On Friday I decided to rejoin Weight Watchers. I had been thinking about it off and on for a while and I was talking to one of my coworkers and just decided to do it. The only time I had success with significant loss was when I was following the program. It was when I abandoned all that I learned that I gained the weight back. I weighed in at 216.8! A lot but I was happy because that means I am down about 20 pounds from the beginning of the year.
It seems they went back to some of the concepts they had before they rolled out the new points plus. I couldn't stand when they switched over to momentum and that when I just stopped but I noticed that my points are back to the same prior to Momentum so I am happy. One thing I hate is that I can't figure out the points values of things on my own. People who have done WW's for a while know that we used to be able to guesstimate points value by just looking at the nutrition information but not anymore because they take more information into account.
This morning I was going to mindlessly eat some cashews but decided to check the points value first and floored when I found out that 1 oz of cashews = 5 points. I see I am going to live by my phone apps for a while.
If you want to friend me on WW's my screen name is Tamika1984. I actually feel more free now that I am back on the program. I always have trouble with calorie counting and what to eat. The best thing about WW's is that I make my decisions, whatever they may be and track my points. It's liberating not to feel like I am confined to one food group or constantly worrying about the effect carbs will have on me. Friday's will be my weigh in days. My goal is 1-2 pounds loss a week. Of course, I wouldn't be mad if I lost a little more but I want to be realistic.

Day 4
Your girl is still going strong! I got up at 7:00 and got my son off to school and then completed Fire 45EZ and Core 20 today. Man, I don't know why but the moves in Fire 45EZ really kick my booty. I was huffing and puffing halfway through, I even took like a two minute break at one point. But I kept at it, I was going to finish. Core 20 is killer when Chalene says she is going to work you, You Better Believe she will live up to her statement. Chalene worked me real good I felt my abs all day at work ; )
This quote reminds me of my attitude this morning. I was tired but I made myself push even harder. It's not going to happen by itself I have to put in the work.

Day 3
I completed Chalean Extreme Burn Circuit 1 today
There is my Shakeology I had after the workout. As you can tell I drink it everyday because the words are fading. I absolutely live by Shakeology. When I drink it on a consistent basis I don't have bad cravings and I usually do not overeat. This is the new Tropical flavor. I absolutely love it ; ) The best thing about Shakeology is that it is jam packed with nutrients .. exotic vegetables and fruits I would never be able to eat otherwise.
Below is my post exercise pic. Chalene had me sweating this morning. Another day in the books.

I completed Fire 55EZ today. I recorded the workout with my web cam and was going to upload it to youtube but I lost it during the uploading process. I am going to start tracking my journey on youtube as well because I think it will hold me more accountable. Later in the day I hung out with some friends and had to make the hard decision of not eating McDonald's and Rita's for desert. It was hard but I held out. I just need to continue doing that because my problem is staying consistent. I am good for a couple of weeks, then I experiences some loss, and then it all goes down the drain because I end up eating out for days on end. It's a very vicious cycle that must end immediately.
Tomorrow I am going to do Chalean Extreme Burn Circuit 1 and Stretch 10.

So today is Day 1 of my 365 day transformation. I did not feel like waking up because I stayed up until midnight doing homework. I am working on completing my Masters in Community Psychology. So needless to say I was so upset when I heard the alarm go off and then heard my son get up and get ready for school. I dragged myself out of bed and immediately thought to myself why don't you just wait until later ... you know all the excuses that come when attempting something again. I felt defeated before I even began. BUT, I ate my apple and pressed play. My back hurt so bad during the workout. This happens when I have been inactive for more than a couple of days so I didn't go as hard as usual but I still worked up a good sweat.
I am feeling good now and going to make sure I stay on track with my food intake today. Off to have some Tropical Shakeology. The Healthiest Meal of the Day!!
Here are current pics it took a lot for me to post them but I have to step outside my comfort zone. I can't keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Hello World,
I am starting my journey to health today. I am going to be using Beach Body's Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme program. I have been a big fan of Chalean for years but I have not been able to stay committed. I lose some and then get comfortable and gain the weight again. I am sick and tired of the yo-yo dieting and ready to make a change for a lifetime. I will try my progress at least once a week so I can hold myself accountable. If you would like to come on this journey with me then Decide.Commit.Succeed and take this journey with me!
